Nagad Limited and Prothom Alo are collaborating to revive the fading art of handwriting, once highly esteemed but now diminishing in demand. In an effort to reignite appreciation for beautiful penmanship, they have launched an initiative calling for submissions of unique handwritten samples from across Bangladesh. These submissions will be used to create fonts, digitally preserving the artistry of handwriting.
Individuals interested in participating can submit photographs or scans of their handwritten samples to info@nagad.com.bd by the deadline of March 7, 2024. A committee of Bangla language researchers will evaluate the submissions, and winners will be chosen based on their handwriting’s uniqueness and quality.
