Nagad wins award for digital innovation
Nagad has been awarded the “Posts and Telecommunications Award 2023” in recognition of its exceptional contribution to digital advancements in Bangladesh’s mobile financial services sector.
A press release stated that the award for Muhammad Solaiman, Director of Corporate Communications at Nagad, was presented by Mustafa Jabbar, the Minister for Posts and Telecommunications, at the “Digital Bangladesh Mela 2023” which took place at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on Saturday.
According to Jabbar, Nagad has caused a revolution in the mobile financial sector by introducing several customer-oriented innovations, particularly its hassle-free account opening process through either e-KYC on smartphones or a simple call to *167# on basic phones.
“The postal department’s mobile money service has demonstrated the cutting-edge innovation we were discussing,” the minister said, adding that it has earned recognition.
Solaiman, representing the Nagad family, expressed his sincere gratitude to the posts and telecommunications division for acknowledging their efforts to simplify people’s daily lives. Muhammad Zahidul Islam, head of public communications for the mobile financial service provider, was also in attendance.
