NOVOAIR 38th National Judo Competition starts
The 38th National Judo Competition, sponsored by NOVOAIR, has started and will last for two days.
Mofizur Rahman, the managing director of NOVOAIR, opened the event at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the capital on Friday, January 27th, according to a press release.
As the President of the Bangladesh Judo Federation and a former member of parliament, Fayzur Rahman presided over the opening ceremony which was attended by the General Secretary Kamrun Nahar Hiru, high-ranking officials from NOVOAIR, and notable members of the community.
In his role as the main guest speaker, Mofizur Rahman emphasized the significance of sports in fostering the development of a thriving nation.
“Since its inception, NOVOAIR has been fulfilling its social responsibility by sponsoring a variety of sports, including football, cricket, volleyball, and golf,” said Fayzur Rahman.
“Currently, we are focused on promoting Judo in the country and striving to achieve success on the international stage through regular practices and competitions.”
310 players from 31 teams representing various districts of Bangladesh, including the Army, BGB, Police, Ansar, BKSP, Dhaka University, and Jagannath University, will be participating in the event. The competition will consist of seven weight categories for men and seven for women.
