Partex Star Group and BUET sign MoU
Partex Star Group recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET), marking a significant collaboration between the two entities.
The partnership aims to leverage BUET’s Research and Innovation Center for Science and Engineering (RISE) for sustainable, high quality, and cost-effective innovation and research across various product lines of Partex Star Group.
The primary objectives of the collaboration include exploring alternative sources of raw materials, developing energy-efficient products, particularly in relation to Partex Star Group’s Particle Board, Cables, Gypsum, Furniture, Adhesives, Builders, Agro, Home Care, Logistics, and Garment Ship manufacturing and marketing in Bangladesh, and enhancing overall product quality through dedicated research initiatives.
The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals from both Partex Star Group and BUET. Notable attendees included Amman Al Aziz, Group Executive Director; Amid Al Aziz, Director; Dr. Md. Nizamul Haque Bhuiya, Independent Director; Suman Shahed Patwari, COO (Cluster-1); Md. Tofazzal Hossain, COP; Sujan Saha, Compensation and Benefits Incharge; Tabiur Rahman, Lead Production; Sajjad Hossain, R&D and Process Innovation Lead; and Dr. Muhammad Anisuzzaman Talukdar, Director of Materials Research Center from BUET, along with Prof. Md. Kamrul Hassan from the EEE Department, Prof. Dr. Fahmida Gulshan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Md. Muqtadir Billah from the IPE Department, Prof. Dr. Ferdous Sarwar from the MME Department, and other esteemed dignitaries.

During the event, Partex Star Group Executive Director, Amman Al-Aziz, expressed the significance of the joint research endeavor with BUET. He emphasized the group’s commitment to providing sustainable and high-quality products to consumers in the country.
Also, he highlighted the need to reduce reliance on foreign countries for raw material imports and the joint research’s potential to discover alternative domestic sources. The collaboration aims to actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and enable Partex Star Group to play a more prominent role in that process.
