Pran-RFL Group is investing Tk700 crore to establish the Habiganj Industrial Park-2, set to span 40 acres and commence operations in early 2024, as per company officials. Currently, Pran-RFL boasts another industrial park in Habiganj spanning 300 acres, positioned about 4km away from this upcoming production hub.

At the Habiganj Industrial Park-2, near-completion of three opal glassware production lines and one cork sheet production line is underway. The opal glassware factories are gearing up for production by January’s end, as stated by officials.

Kamruzzaman Kamal, the marketing director, revealed that substantial progress, including land preparation and utilities setup, is at 25%. Construction of three buildings for the opal glassware and cork sheet factory is also complete.

Trial production is scheduled to kick off in January following machinery installation, paving the way for a formal inauguration anticipated in March. The initial launch will generate jobs for 500 individuals, with projections to surpass a thousand by 2024 as the entire park becomes fully operational.

The group plans to establish additional industrial units supporting its existing production lines at the first industrial park. Financing for this venture will be arranged via equity and loans amounting to Tk700 crore.
