Premier Cement won ICMAB Gold Award 

Premier Cement Mills Plc is proud to have won the Gold Award in the Cement Manufacturing category at the (ICMAB) Best Corporate Awards 2021.

The award ceremony was organized by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on December 1 at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital city. Mohammad Amirul Haque, Managing Director of Premier Cement Mills Plc, received the gold award trophy from the Chief Guest, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, on the occasion.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) president Md. Jasim Uddin, Chairman of Bangladesh Security and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Shibli Rubayat-ul-Islam and President of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Mohammad Abdul Aziz were all present at the event.

A total of 65 institutions received awards from ICMAB this year, with Premier Cement receiving the gold award, MI Cement Factory Ltd. taking silver, and Confidence Cement Ltd. and Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh Ltd. jointly receiving bronze.

The Chief Guest of the function, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said, “Congratulations to the awardees. I hope, in the future, this arrangement will positively encourage building trust and credibility among the stakeholders, which will solve the sustainable development of the country.

“The award is a recognition of the transparency of our financial reporting and good corporate governance practices,” said Mohammad Amirul Haque, Managing Director of Premier Cement. “I would like to extend my sincere greetings and congratulations to all members of the organization, including the board of directors, stakeholders, shareholders.”
