President, PM wish ‘BASIS SoftExpo 2023’ a grand success
The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has received appreciation from President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for organizing the annual software exposition “BASIS SoftExpo 2023” from February 23-26.
In their separate messages, the President and the Prime Minister expressed their hope that the SoftExpo would create enormous opportunities for expanding the IT sector in Bangladesh.
President Md Abdul Hamid stated that IT has a pivotal role in realizing the goals of a Smart Bangladesh equipped with digital technologies, which is in line with the country’s Vision-41 under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.
He highlighted various IT initiatives, including the recently launched tier 3 internet data centre and the operating Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park, Jashore, and Janata Tower Software Technology Park.
He also emphasized the importance of showcasing the accomplishments and innovations of Bangladesh’s IT sector at the SoftExpo.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stated that the government is focusing on transforming the country from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh by 2041.
She highlighted the government’s achievements in making information technology accessible to all and its current efforts to develop advanced technologies such as AI, robotics, big data, and blockchain.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of technology in building Smart Bangladesh and achieving socio-economic development.
She expressed her belief that the domestic software organizations of Bangladesh can make their mark at the international level through the BASIS SoftExpo.
Both the President and the Prime Minister wished the BASIS SoftExpo 2023 a grand success.
