‘Pushti-Prothom Alo School Debate Festival’ started again

The ‘Pusti-Prothom Alo School Debate Festival‘ has kickstarted once again, beginning with its inauguration on a Saturday morning at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School in Mohammadpur, the capital city. The event was graced by renowned performer Chanchal Chowdhury and Saurdeep Pal, the winner of the World Universities Debating Championship 2022, who jointly inaugurated the festival.

Distinguished personalities, including Ayman Sadiq, the Founder of Ten Minute School, Psychiatrist Ahmed Helal, Brother Leo Perera, the Principal of St. Joseph High School, Alam Chowdhury, Business Head of Nutrition Consumer Division, Nazmul Hossain, Head of Sales of TK Food Products Distribution Limited, Nazmul Hossain, and Head of Brand and Communication of TK Group, along with Ibrahim Khalil, Executive Editor of Prothom Alo, Sajjad Sharif, Saraban Tahura, founder of Tarun Turtle Venture Studio, and Anwar Saif, among others, were present during the occasion.

Following the opening ceremony, a debate workshop commenced, where television personality and former president of Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) Abdun Noor Tushar and other experts answered various questions. The event was conducted by Prothom Alo Bandhu Sabha Executive President Mousumi Mou and General Secretary Zafar Sadiq. This year, the festival plans to organize 40 regional events across the country to promote and foster the art of debate.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the active participation of principal teachers, debate moderators, and students from various educational institutions representing five regions of Dhaka.
