Robi Awards Best Innovative Ideas From Young Children Under “Tomar Chokhe Agamir Bangladesh” Campaign

Robi, a leading digital company, was recognized for its innovation and digitization efforts with the award for the top 10 innovative ideas from young, creative minds in Bangladesh. The online campaign, “Tomar Chokhe Agamir Bangladesh,” was launched last year to commemorate Robi’s 25-year milestone and offered children from all over the country a chance to share their vision for the future of Bangladesh.

Today, a ceremony was held at Robi’s corporate office to honor the winners and present them with certificates, crests, and other prizes. Shihab Ahmad, Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ayman Sadiq, the Founder and CEO of 10 Minute School, and senior Robi officials were present at the event.

The campaign received a huge response, with over 1,300 innovative ideas submitted. The selection process gave priority to innovative thinking, technology integration, and the ability of the idea to address societal or daily life problems.

Among the thousands of ideas received, Samihat Taspia Rumaisa won first prize for her idea of a device that would automatically notify the nearest health centers and police stations in the event of a road accident. The second prize was awarded to Shamsul Islam Tanim for his proposal to create a rechargeable dictation pen that would help other differently abled children by converting voice commands to text.

Robi’s CCO, Shihab Ahmad, said that the youth are the driving force of the digital future and that opportunities and resources for them should be provided to create a future beyond our imagination. Robi plans to continue to invest in skill development for the future generation and has committed to investing up to Tk 25 million in its digital entrepreneurship platform, R-ventures 3.0.
