Robi Axiata Limited has introduced a World Cup theme song, “Jani Bangladesh Parbe Tumio,” dedicated to the passionate cricket fans of Bangladesh.
This enchanting theme song beautifully captures the profound love and admiration that millions of fans throughout Bangladesh hold for their cherished Tigers. The song encourages fans to embrace the victorious spirit of the Tigers and draw inspiration from their achievements in their own lives, according to a press release.
“Jani Bangladesh Parbe Tumio” is a captivating revival of the iconic 2008 hit, “Chaite Paro,” by the well-known band Aurthohin. Sumon, popularly known as Bassbaba and the lead of the Aurthohin band, expressed his excitement, saying, “We enjoyed collaborating with Robi on this project. We never anticipated that the song would blend so seamlessly with the world of cricket. This is an unprecedented moment in Bangladesh’s history, and I hope the cricket enthusiasts of Bangladesh will embrace the song.”
The grand unveiling of this theme song occurred at a star-studded press conference on Sunday, October 1st, at the Robi Corporate Office in Gulshan, Dhaka. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Robi CEO Rajeev Sethi, Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad, and other high-ranking officials. Members of the Aurthohin band and Siam Ahmed were also in attendance.
Shihab Ahmad shared his thoughts on the song, stating, “This theme song is a testament to our unwavering belief in achieving greatness. ‘Jani Bangladesh, Parbe Tumio’ is not just a song; it’s a proclamation of our national spirit and determination.”

Robi has a long history of association with cricket, having sponsored the National Cricket team from 2015 to 2017. Furthermore, through the organization of the Fast Bowler Hunt contest, Robi contributed to the discovery of the celebrated fast bowler, Ebadot, who now represents the national team.
