Robi Axiata Limited, a prominent mobile network operator in Bangladesh, has secured the sponsorship rights for the Bangladesh national cricket team in a substantial three-and-a-half-year deal with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The agreement, worth Tk 50 crore, was formalized on Friday at the BCB headquarters in Mirpur. According to the terms, Robi will provide financial support to the BCB from February this year until July 2027.
“We are pleased to welcome Robi as the sponsor of the national team. This partnership holds promise for the advancement of Bangladesh cricket,” stated BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury.

Following the conclusion of its previous sponsorship agreement with Daraz on November 30 last year, BCB had actively pursued a new sponsor for the national teams.
Robi had previously held the title sponsorship for the national team, entering into a two-year contract with BCB worth 41.41 crore taka in 2015. While this deal was extended in 2017 with plans to continue until the 2019 World Cup, Robi chose to terminate the sponsorship arrangement in August 2018.
