Rupali Haque Chowdhury, the managing director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd, has recently been appointed as the president of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) for a two-year term. Alongside her, Syed M Altaf Hussain from Pragati Life Insurance Ltd has been elected as the vice-president.

The Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), representing the companies listed on the stock exchanges of Bangladesh, conducted its elections to form the new board for the 2024-2025 term. The executive committee includes prominent figures from various sectors, such as Mohammed Younus from Shahjalal Islami Bank, Manzurul Islam from Eastern Housing, Abdullah Al Mahmud from Hamid Fabrics, and others like Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury, Syed Farhad Ahmed, Md Kyser Hamid, Kazi Inam Ahmed, Monzur Kadir Shafi, and Shahriar Ahmed, all respected professionals in their respective domains.

The committee also features Adib Hossain Babul from National Feed Mill, Zeyad Rahman from Delta Life Insurance Co, Md Apel Mahmud from Fareast Islami Life Insurance Co, Tajwar Muhammed Awal from Pragati Insurance, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun from Eastern Bank, and Md Sharif Hasan, serving as the director of regulatory affairs and company secretary at Unique Hote. This diverse committee reflects a wealth of expertise and experience across various industries within Bangladesh’s financial landscape.
