Continuous rainfall and landslides over the past few days have left millions of people in Chattogram waterlogged and facing hardships. Flooded roads, alleys, and highways have disrupted normal life, leading to shortages of essential products. In response to this dire situation, S Alam Group, a prominent industrial entity in the country, has once again stepped forward to aid flood victims in Chattogram.

According to a press release, the industrial conglomerate has swiftly provided emergency relief assistance to the Chattogram District Commissioner, targeting 15,000 families.

Each relief package for the flood-affected recipients encompasses essential items such as 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of lentils, 5 kg of flattened rice (chira), 1 kg of jaggery, 1 kg of salt, 2 boxes of dry biscuits/toast biscuits, and a packet of 10 saline solutions. The relief package also includes 2 Dettol soaps, gaslights, and five high-quality candles. Additionally, 200,000 liters of safe drinking water have been supplied to support these 15,000 families.

S Alam Group expressed, “The people of Chattogram are currently facing what might be the worst flood in their memory.
