Salextra Ltd. gets Three ISO Certifications from Intertek

Intertek, a renowned organization in the field of international standards monitoring and certification, has recently awarded Salextra Ltd. with ISO certificates in three key categories: Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health and Safety Management systems.

These certifications officially recognize Salextra Ltd.’s compliance with 100% international standards in the manufacturing of mobile phones and IoT devices.

“Salextra Limited is now empowered to enter into the international world of mobile and IoT device manufacturing,” said Ashraf Bin Taj, Chairman of Salextra Ltd. “The relentless hard work and team effort of our employees have made this achievement possible.”

Salextra Ltd. received the following certifications:

1. Quality Management System: ISO-9001:2015

Awarded for the company’s state-of-the-art process and manufacturing unit management, ensuring the production of international-grade quality products.

2. Environmental Management System: ISO-14001:2015

Recognized for the effective distribution of raw materials, an environment-friendly waste management system, and gaining the trust of partners through sustainable practices.

3. Occupational Health and Safety Management System: ISO-45001:2018

Granted for ensuring the health and safety of employees in the workplace in accordance with international laws and standards.

The certificates were handed over to Salextra Ltd.’s management on May 29, 2024, at Intertek Bangladesh HQ. Riajul Islam, Managing Director of Salextra Ltd., along with senior management members, received the certificates from Intertek’s top management.

Moshiur Rahman, Bangladesh Country Manager, and senior management members of HMD Global, the maker of Nokia mobile phones, were also present at the event.

Salextra Ltd. began its journey in 2020 as a nationwide distributor of mobile and IoT devices in Bangladesh. In December 2023, the company expanded its operations to include the manufacturing of Nokia mobile phones by HMD.
