Selim H. Rahman, Chairman of HATIL, was honored with the prestigious Best Furniture Manufacturer Award by the Commerce Minister. This recognition came as a result of HATIL Furniture clinching the top spot in the best furniture manufacturer category at the 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2024.
During the closing ceremony of the trade fair on Tuesday, February 20, State Minister for Commerce Ahasanul Islam Titu, serving as the chief guest, presented awards to winners across various categories. Selim H. Rahman graciously accepted the “Best Furniture Manufacturer Award” from the state minister for commerce during this ceremony.

The event took place at the DITF venue located in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre (BBCFEC) in Purbachal, situated 16.6 km east of Dhaka City. Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Commerce Ministry, presided over the event, with Mahbubul Alam, president of FBCCI, and AHM Ahsan, vice chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), also gracing the occasion as special guests.

The fair, inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 21, concluded after a month-long run on February 20. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the EPB, these trade fairs have been a staple since 1995. The usual commencement date of January 1 was postponed this year due to the 12th national election.
