In a moment of high anticipation, megastar Shakib Khan, Director of Remark-Herlan, revealed the official name of the Dhaka team for the upcoming 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL): “Dhaka Capitals.”
This thrilling reveal occurred during a grand event at the Remark-Herlan corporate office in Gulshan, Dhaka, where Shakib Khan also unveiled the team logo, marking a significant milestone for the franchise.
Recently, a campaign was launched on social media inviting suggestions for the team name. Remark-Herlan’s Home Care and Personal Care brands actively engaged fans through a call for names on their Facebook page, creating a sense of community and involvement among cricket enthusiasts. The top three names were shortlisted from the submissions received, and a public vote was conducted to determine the final selection. “Dhaka Capitals” emerged as the clear favourite, supported by most votes. Additionally, the “Dhaka Capitals” slogan has been established as “Together We Rise.”
