In the fiscal year 2022-23, ‘Shwapno,’ a leading retail chain in the country, has announced an operating profit of Tk13 crore, marking a significant surge compared to the approximately Tk20 lakh operating profit reported in the previous fiscal year of 2021-22, as stated in a press release.

The release highlighted ‘Shwapno’s’ consistent achievement of operating profits for the past five years without depreciation.

Established in 2008, ‘Shwapno’ has expanded its initiatives to 62 districts nationwide, apart from the capital, showcasing resilience despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 2020, amidst the pandemic, ‘Shwapno’ has successfully launched 440 outlets.

Sabbir Hasan Nasir, the company’s executive director, attributes this success to various customer safety initiatives and the introduction of home delivery services, which have significantly increased customer acceptance.

Sabbir Hasan Nasir proudly mentioned ‘Shwapno’s’ seven-year streak receiving the Best Brand Award in the supermarket category since 2016, further solidifying its position as the sixth-best brand across all categories this year, reflecting its strong consumer acceptance in Bangladesh.

Presently, ‘Shwapno’ employs over 4,000 individuals across its 440 outlets nationwide, serving more than 70,000 customers daily. The retail chain’s unwavering growth and customer-focused strategies have positioned ‘Shwapno’ as a trusted and favored brand within the Bangladeshi market.
