TEDxGulshan 2023, a remarkable exploration of innovation and equality, captivated the audience on November 4th, 2023. With the theme “Innovation for Equality,” this independently organized TED event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, each contributing their unique perspectives on various topics.
The event included 16 TEDx Talks that challenged norms and introduced groundbreaking ideas, leaving attendees inspired. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, the first female speaker of the country, shared her inspirational journey, highlighting how innovation and equality can thrive in the public sector. She emphasized that innovation is not limited to the private sector and can drive change in the public sector while empowering women in leadership roles.
Praveena Yagnambhat, Chief of Staff of Boeing India, shared her story, underscoring that innovation is the key to achieving equality, and her journey is a testament to an individual’s ability to drive change.
Former Principal Secretary Mr. Abul Kalam Azad emphasized that innovation should be at the forefront of efforts to promote equality and commended TEDxGulshan for its role in spreading this message.
Ankita Bakshi, Content Strategist, APAC, BBC StoryWorks, spoke passionately about the power of storytelling to break down barriers and unite people from all walks of life.
Md. Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications, UNDP Bangladesh, stressed the collective responsibility to promote equality through innovation and praised TEDxGulshan for catalyzing transformative conversations.

Prominent speakers at this year’s TEDxGulshan included Dr. Syed Muntasir Mamun, Rubana Huq, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Abeer Rajbeen, Vashkar Bhattacharjee, Kebria Sarkar, Iftekhar Rafsan, Imtiaz Ilahi, and Moutushi Kabir.
