Today’s open the Metrorail station of Mirpur 10
One more station of Metrorail is being opened today from Wednesday. As the fifth station, Mirpur-10 is operational from today. Earlier, Uttara North, Agargaon, Pallabi, Uttara Center stations were launched. After the Mirpur-10 station becomes operational, five stations of the metro rail will start. Now only four stations – ‘North South’, ‘Mirpur-11’, ‘Kazipara’ and ‘Sheorapara’ will remain.
On February 9, at the office of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) in Iskaton, the company’s managing director MAN Chiddik said that Mirpur-10 station will be launched from March 1. Apart from this, the rest of the stations in the Uttara-Agargaon section, i.e. all 9 stations, will be commissioned within the month of March. On that day, MAN Siddique said that train suspension will be started at all the stations by March. And train movement will start in full from July. Then the metro trains will run from dawn till midnight.
According to DMTCL, passenger movement will start at Mirpur-10 metro station from 8:30 am. Half an hour before this, the station will be opened for passengers from 8 am.
On December 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the section from Uttara (Diabari) section to Agargaon within the 21 km Udal railway line from Uttara to Kamalapur. From the day after the inauguration, commercial operation of metro rail in Dhaka started with ordinary passengers.
Agargaon to Motijheel section is planned to be operational by the end of this year. The section from Motijheel to Kamalapur railway station may be operational by 2025.
