Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited recently honoured the winners of its ‘Walton Laptop Packaging Design Contest’ with a total cash prize of Tk380,000 distributed among the top 13 participants.
The champion designer received Tk200,000, followed by Tk50,000 for the first runner-up and Tk30,000 for the second runner-up, while the remaining 10 winners were awarded Tk10,000 each.
The competition, themed ‘The World Will See Your Talent’, attracted numerous students, freelancers, and professional designers, signifying a broad participation in the event organized by Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited.
The ‘Walton Laptop Packaging Design Contest Award Giving Ceremony’ took place at the conference hall of Walton’s corporate office in Dhaka, graced by Prof. Nisar Hossain, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art at the University of Dhaka, as the chief guest. Prof. Sheikh Afzal Hossain and Prof. Shishir Bhattacharjee, both from the University of Dhaka, were special guests. S M Rezaul Alam, Chairman of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, presided over the ceremony alongside top officials of the organization.

Nusrat Jahan, a student of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, secured the championship with a reward of Tk200,000. Md. Faijul Karim from the Institute of Marine Technology, Bagerhat, and Tasneem Mahmud Ashiq from Daffodil International University emerged as the first and second runners-up, receiving Tk50,000 and Tk30,000, respectively. The remaining top 10 contestants received Tk10,000 each.
Prof. Nisar Hossain praised Walton for its remarkable strides in the global market with ‘Made in Bangladesh’ high-tech products and commended the contest for producing designs of international standards.

S M Rezaul Alam emphasized the importance of high-quality design for product packaging, aiming to integrate the creativity of Bangladesh’s talented individuals with the packaging of Walton’s products. He expressed delight at the contest’s substantial response and assured the continuation of such initiatives.
The winners expressed gratitude to Walton Digi-Tech authorities for organizing the contest, and appreciating the platform for showcasing their creative talents.
