Walton awarded ‘Gold Trophy’ in DITF-24

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has been honored with the prestigious ‘Gold Trophy’ for having the best stall in the electronics product category at the recently concluded 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2024.

Organized by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Commerce Ministry, Walton was recognized for its outstanding mega stall, showcasing high-quality and innovative products during the month-long fair.

The award ceremony took place after the 28th DITF-24 at the conference hall of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal, Dhaka, on Tuesday, February 20th. State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam (Titu) presented the ‘Gold Trophy’ and certificate to Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries and CEO of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation, who attended the event as the recipient.

The event saw the presence of FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam as a special guest, with Senior Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh presiding over the ceremony. EPB Vice-Chairman A.H.M. Ahsan delivered the welcome speech.

Representatives from Walton Hi-Tech Industries, including Additional Managing Director Major General (Retd.) Ibne Fazal Shayekhuzzaman and Chief Marketing Officer Didarul Alam Khan, were also present at the award-giving session.

During the 28th DITF, Walton showcased a remarkable mega stall designed after the Bangabandhu tunnel, featuring a range of smart appliances such as fridges, air conditioners, TVs, elevators, washing machines, laptops, computers, electric bikes, and home and kitchen appliances.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Walton’s mega stall on the inaugural day of the DITF-24, expressing admiration for the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labeled Walton products and commending the brand’s progress in manufacturing high-tech items. She particularly praised Walton’s laptops, smart fridges, air conditioners, televisions, lifts, and energy-saving home appliances, highlighting Bangladesh’s advancements in smart tech production.
