Walton conferred with ‘Best Innovation’ & ‘Best Stall’ awards at DITF-23
As the 27th edition of the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) wraps up, Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton gets conferred with the ‘Best Innovation Award’ as well as the ‘Best Electronics Stall Award’ at the DITF-2023.
This year’s Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) was a buzz of activity, with visitors flocking to the Walton stall to take a look at their cutting-edge, eco-friendly smart appliances. The press release noted that the stall was a real eye-catcher and it comes as no surprise that Walton took home the first prize in the sustainable innovation category.
The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, 31 January, at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in the capital city of Dhaka. The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi and Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, as well as representatives from the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries.
A total of 47 organizations were awarded in 14 categories at this year’s DITF and it was the first time that the fair’s organizers, the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau, had introduced an innovation award. The concluding ceremony was presided over by the Commerce Ministry’s Senior Additional Secretary, Md Hafizur Rahman, with a welcome speech delivered by EPB Vice-Chairman, AHM Ahsan.
The Deputy Managing Directors of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc, Eva Rizwana Nilu and Md Humayun Kabir, were honored with crests and certificates for their exceptional achievements at the 27th DITF. The event, held at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre at Purbachal, was a celebration of innovation and electronics.
For the 14th consecutive year, Walton was recognized as the highest VAT payer, a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence. They also secured the Best Premier Stall Award, thanks to their attention-grabbing display of cutting-edge technologies and innovations.
Walton’s exhibit was filled with eco-friendly and sustainable smart appliances, including a smart refrigerator, smart television, smart air conditioner, and even an e-bike. These products, along with their upcoming models of next-generation green technology, impressed visitors with their advanced features and innovative designs.
In addition to consumer electronics, Walton also showcased various industrial solutions, including LGP, LDP, nuts, bolts, and screws. The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ label on these world-class products received high praise from both domestic and foreign visitors.
Walton has been a mainstay at trade fairs and exhibitions, showcasing their latest advancements in technology and sustainability. Their continued success at the DITF is a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
