Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, a leading electronics manufacturer from Bangladesh, has entered the Caribbean market through a new distributorship agreement with Barbados-based firm Bargain Warehouse. This marks a strategic step in Walton’s ongoing global expansion, providing a potential gateway to North and Central American markets.

Under the agreement, Bargain Warehouse will distribute Walton products across 16 Caribbean islands. The initial consignment, consisting of split and commercial air conditioners, has already been shipped to Barbados. Additional product categories—such as electronics, home appliances, and kitchen items—are expected to follow.

Md Ziaul Alam, FCA, ACA (ICAEW), Additional Managing Director and CFO of Walton Hi-Tech, and Md Zuheir Zayouni, Managing Director of Bargain Warehouse, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

Abdur Rouf, Vice President of Walton’s Global Business Division, noted that the Caribbean market presents opportunities due to its location and emerging demand for electronics. Walton aims to gradually expand its footprint in the Americas through this initiative.

Meanwhile, Walton’s air conditioning segment has seen growing demand in overseas markets. According to Md Tanvir Rahman, Chief Business Officer of Walton Air Conditioner, products such as split units, VRF systems, and commercial chillers are gaining acceptance in countries like Singapore, driven by a focus on energy efficiency and competitive pricing.

Walton products are currently available in over 50 countries, supported by a network of international distributors across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
