Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited has provided four electric bicycles (e-bikes) to be used in various government offices, including the Prime Minister’s office. The offices receiving these e-bikes are Ganabhaban, the Road Transport and Highways Division, and the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

During a recent handover ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office on September 24th, Walton’s Chairman, SM Rezaul Alam, presented the Takyon brand e-bikes to Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah, ABM Amin Ullah Nuri (Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division), and Nur Mohammad Mazumder (Chairman of BRTA). Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali from Walton Digi-Tech Industries and other government officials were also in attendance.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah encouraged relevant government departments to take measures that promote the use of eco-friendly and cost-effective vehicles. He emphasized that electric bikes are not only environmentally friendly but also economically beneficial. As the adoption of e-bikes increases, the reliance on fossil fuels will decrease, providing a more hassle-free and cost-effective mode of transportation for users.
