According to Mostafizur Rahman Razu, Head of Walton’s Environment, Health and Safety Department, the project is a model for sustainable industrial development. “The electricity generated from the plant meets the factory’s needs, while surplus power is supplied to the national grid through a net metering system,” he said, adding that the plant will efficiently produce energy for the next 20 years without harming the ecosystem.
