Walton Introduces AIoT based Giantech series 3 new models of smart fridges
Walton introduces their AIoT-powered Giantech (GT) series in Bangladesh. The new lineup includes three models of smart refrigerators, showcasing the country’s prowess in advanced refrigeration technology.
The Giantech series features groundbreaking innovations such as South Asia’s first four door smart refrigerators and the world’s first 8-in-1 convertible side-by-side door smart fridge. With the “Walton Smart Appliance” Android app, users can conveniently control settings, shop online, and access cooking references on YouTube. The fridges offer turbo and eco cooling modes for the refrigerator and freezer compartments, while AI based MSO (Matrix Speed Optimization) inverter technology ensures optimized cooling, reduced power consumption, and user-friendly functionality.
The grand unveiling event, held at Walton’s Corporate Office, was graced by Golam Murshed, Managing Director and CEO of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, who unveiled the new GT series models. Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Bangladesh National Cricket Team All-rounder and Walton’s Sports Ambassador, also attended the event.
Golam Murshed highlighted Walton’s investment in research and development, stating that the company’s efforts have positioned Bangladesh as a leading manufacturer of innovative refrigerators. He emphasized Walton’s commitment to building a smart Bangladesh and expressed confidence in continuing their innovative endeavors.
Tofail Ahmed, Chief Business Officer of Walton Refrigerator, mentioned the incorporation of the latest technologies and features in the GT series, aligning with global benchmarks. Eun Mog Yang, Walton’s Chief Technical Officer, highlighted the utilization of 3D MSO inverter technology, which optimizes cooling performance and reduces electricity consumption. Etsuro Suzuki, Technical Adviser for Walton Refrigerator Design and Development, discussed the intelligent germ termination ionizer system, 3-layer odor safe guard, and smart control features that enhance food preservation and user convenience.

The GT series refrigerators, ranging from 619 liters to 660 liters, will be available in the domestic market soon, with prices ranging from Tk1,13,000 to Tk2,00,000. Customers can benefit from a one year replacement warranty, 12 years of compressor guarantee, and 5 years of free after sales service. Walton’s 79 service centers across the country ensure swift and reliable after sales support.
