Labour and Employment Secretary AHM Shafiquzzaman mentioned that Walton is primarily involved with the Ministry of Labour and Employment as many people are getting employment through Walton.
Walton is creating a skilled workforce and making significant contributions to the overall economy of Bangladesh. Walton manufactures electronics and technology products, including refrigerators, ACs, and TVs, which used to cost much foreign currency to import. Through this, a massive amount of foreign currency is being saved. Moreover, Walton products are currently being exported to 44 countries in 4 continents. As a result, our foreign exchange reserves are increasing.
The Labour Secretary made those remarks while inaugurating the Walton Computer Divisional IT Fair as the chief guest of a function held at ECS Computer City at Multiplan Center in the capital.
Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, the country’s top technology manufacturer, has organized the IT Fair. The first phase of the Dhaka Division fair will be held at ECS Computer City of Multiplan Center on Elephant Road. The IT Fair of Walton Computer will gradually be held in other divisional cities as well.

He urged everyone to use products manufactured by domestic brands. He added that it would decrease our import dependency, boost domestic industrialization, and create more employment.

In the event, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited’s Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali said that ‘Computer Exchange Offer Season Four’ is currently being conducted across the country. This season, customers can exchange their old or damaged laptops, desktops, all-in-one PCs, monitors, printers, tabs, speakers, and CCTV products and get a maximum discount of twenty per cent in buying similar new products from Walton brand.
