Walton, a Bangladeshi electronics and technology brand, is moving forward to become one of the top brands in the world. For this, they have set ‘Vision-2030’ under the slogan ‘Go Global’. Golam Murshed, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, expressed this conviction at the road show closing session held at the ballroom of Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday night.
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) organized the road show titled ‘Investor Summit: Bangladesh Capital Markets’ to increase foreign investment in Bangladesh’s stock market.
Among others present at the road show were Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury MP, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations in Geneva and Ambassador. In a video message, Tedros Adhanom Gebreasus, Director General of the World Health Organization, praised Bangladesh’s various development activities. Ghulam Murshed said, “I assure everyone that Walton in Bangladesh will be one of the global brands in the next nine years. Let’s all work together to take Bangladesh to a unique height in the court of the world. ‘
BSEC is holding a road show titled ‘The Rise of Bengal Tiger: Potentials of Trade and Investment in Bangladesh’ in different countries of the world to attract domestic and foreign investment by highlighting the current situation of the stock market in Bangladesh, investment opportunities and development activities. Earlier, the first episode of the Road Show was held on September 20 in Zurich, Switzerland. Walton is one of the collaborators in that BSEC event.
