Yamaha doubles its motorcycle production in Bangladesh
Yamaha has doubled their production capacity in its motorcycle manufacturing plant in Sreepur, Gazipur, set up by ACI Motors, from January in the backdrop of growing demand in the country.
In Bangladesh, the 150cc bike category is dominated by Yamaha.
On Tuesday, a program was planned in this regard at the Yamaha facility in Gazipur.
The initiative was launched by ACI Motors Managing Director FH Ansarey in the presence of the company’s Executive Director Subrata Ranjan Das, Executive Officer Kotaro Ueda, Chief General Manager (Manufacturing) of Yamaha Motor Co Ltd. Shigeru Ishikawa, Senior General Manager of Yamaha Motor Co Ltd.
Yamaha Japan provided technical assistance to ACI Motors, the sole distributor and technical partner for Yamaha motorcycles in Bangladesh, as they established their production facility in 2019. To guarantee the quality of the motorcycles, Yamaha Motor Corporation Japan oversees the operation of the manufacturing.
ACI Motors began operations in 2007 as a division of the renowned business ACI Limited. There are currently over 99 3S (sales, service, spare parts) dealer points spread out over the nation.
Yamaha motorcycles are in higher demand than other brands in the Bangladeshi market since the company consistently introduces the most advanced motorcycles to the consumer market.
