Today marks the start of Ambiente 2023, a truly unique platform for consumer goods that has garnered international recognition. Held in Frankfurt, Germany, this five-day event is a showcase for some of the world’s leading consumer goods and 55 companies from Bangladesh have taken part.

According to a press release, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has provided subsidized stalls to small and medium exporters in an effort to increase the exports of handicrafts, decorative items, and kitchen accessories. Bangladesh is represented by firms such as Paragon Ceramic, Shinepukur, Peoples Ceramic, Monno Ceramic, San Trade, RFL Plastics, Prokritee, Saidpur Enterprises, Artisan House, and Asix BD.

Ambiente is known as the leading international trade fair for food, cooking, homewares, living, gifts, jewelery and fashion accessories. The Bangladesh holding is the largest in South Asia after India and offers a diverse range of products, including ceramics from companies such as Shinepukur, Monno Ceramic and Paragon Ceramics.

Bangladesh has been a part of Ambiente for over three decades and has seen a number of industries, such as jute and handicrafts, develop as a result of the fair. In 2019, the top 10 visiting nations at Ambiente after Germany were China, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey, and the USA.
