71 Shortlisted for Nagad’s BMW Campaign

Nagad’s BMW campaign has gained immense popularity, attracting millions of enthusiastic participants who joined through merchant payments or mobile recharge. Through a phased random selection process using “Bangla AI,” a total of 71 individuals made it to the final list after the three-month campaign. Now, the ultimate winner will be determined through direct voting by Nagad customers.

The participant who secures the highest number of votes from Nagad customers will be rewarded with the highly anticipated BMW car worth BDT 1 crore. Notably, the final list comprises at least one individual from each of the 64 districts in the country.

This mega campaign, which commenced in the last week of March and concluded on June 30, has received an overwhelming response from people across the nation. Over the past three months, Nagad’s transactions, primarily in the form of merchant payments and mobile recharge, have reached an all-time high, fueled by this grand BMW campaign.

As part of the campaign, a show called “Ke Jitbe BMW?” (Who will win BMW?) was aired on multiple TV channels, featuring popular celebrities and influential social media personalities as guests. The final episode welcomed the presence of Mushfiqur Rahim, a star cricketer from the Bangladesh Cricket team, as the special guest.

To finalize the list of candidates for the BMW car, the selection process initially used “Bangla AI” to choose 44 individuals from 37 districts, aligning with the number of Mushfiqur’s ODI fifties. Later, the count was raised to 71 as Mushfiqur suggested that at least one person from each district should be included in the final list.

Now, any Nagad customer from anywhere in Bangladesh can cast their vote for any of the 71 selected candidates vying for the BMW car. The individual with the highest number of votes will emerge as the winner.

To vote for their chosen candidate, Nagad customers need to log in to their Nagad app, locate the “Ke Jitbe BMW” icon, and access the shortlist of candidates. From there, they can select their favorite person by clicking the “Vote” button beneath their picture, review the details, and finalize their vote by tapping the “Vote Now” button. Each Nagad user can vote once a day and can vote again on the following day. Voting will remain open from July 1st to July 10th.

Regarding the BMW winner selection process, Sadat Adnan Ahmad, the chief marketing officer of Nagad Limited, stated, “We have received an overwhelming response to our BMW campaign. That is why, instead of selecting the ultimate winner ourselves, we have now entrusted our millions of customers with the responsibility of choosing from the 71 shortlisted candidates.”

Under this mega payment campaign, Nagad has already awarded several Sedan cars, nearly 500 motorbikes, as well as refrigerators, smart televisions, mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, and more to the winners. These exciting prizes were presented by beloved celebrities such as Tamim Iqbal Khan, the ODI captain of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, and popular television stars including Nusrat Faria, Mishu Sabbir, Ziaul Hoque Polash, and Parsa Evana. Furthermore, Nagad personally visited the homes of many winners to present them with their prizes.
