Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has opened a new branch in Mongla, Bagerhat, which is their 84th branch.
The branch was officially opened on October 8th. The inauguration was done by Sheikh Abdur Rahman, a freedom fighter, who is also the mayor of Mongla Port Pourashava. M Khorshed Anowar, the deputy managing director and head of Retail of SME Banking at Eastern Bank, also took part in the opening ceremony.
The event was attended by EBL branch area head-outstation Istiak Ahmed, branch managers from the Khulna area, and other important local figures.
