Banglalink Expands 4G Network with 4,000 New Sites Nationwide

Banglalink deploys 4,000 new 4G sites as part of nationwide network expansion drive 

The press release announced that the expanded network has allowed more customers in the country to access its fast 4G network and quality digital services. An event was held to celebrate this milestone at the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in the presence of key figures including Shyam Sunder Sikder, chairman of BTRC, and Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink.

At the ceremony, senior officials from both organizations, including the directors general of BTRC and the chief corporate and regulatory affairs officer of Banglalink, were also in attendance. With the deployment of new sites, Banglalink’s network has expanded by 40%, reaching over 14,500 sites, solidifying its status as a national digital operator. The company’s superior spectrum per customer and technology advancements have also kept it as the fastest 4G network in the country.

Shyam Sunder Sikder spoke about BTRC’s role as a facilitator rather than just a regulator, and praised Banglalink for its efforts to serve people from all regions of the country. Erik Aas emphasized Banglalink’s commitment to becoming a truly national operator and impacting people’s lives through its digital services. He expressed gratitude to the regulator for their support in making these initiatives a reality.
