Apex Footwear sponsors FDCB Bangladesh Fashion Week

Apex Footwear Limited, a leading player in the fashion industry in Bangladesh, has sponsored the Bangladesh Fashion Week 2023, hosted by the Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB). The event took place on March 16 and 17 at the Aloki Convention Centre in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

According to a press release, Apex believes that sustainability in fashion is crucial to protect the environment and the planet.

As part of its mission to promote and nurture the fashion industry, Apex partnered with FDCB and used the platform to launch its contemporary women’s wear line, Jatarea. The event had the theme “Wear clothes that tell a real story of people and the planet” and showcased collections from prominent designers in Bangladesh and India, emphasizing sustainability and slow fashion.

Bangladesh Fashion Week 2023 is the most prestigious fashion event in the country, bringing together fashion designers and retailers from different segments who drive fashion in the country on one platform. The two-day fashion event opened with the launch of Jatarea, featuring a fusion of traditional fabrics with contemporary cuts and designs that are comfortable and elegant. Jatarea is an all-season-appropriate ready-to-wear collection from the House of Apex. Apex also showcased the latest Eid collection of women’s footwear by Moochie from the house of Apex Footwear, paired with the Jatarea outfits.

The second day began with Apex showcasing its latest men’s Eid collection by Venturini. The event concluded with the finale of Shaibal Saha’s collection, paired with Venturini shoes. Overall, the event successfully celebrated age-old artisanal dressmaking with a focus on sustainability and slow fashion, while Apex played a pivotal role in promoting and nurturing the fashion industry in Bangladesh.
