Celebrating 100 years of LUX Unilever Bangladesh hosts launch of new formulation of LUX soap bar

Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) celebrated the illustrious 100-year journey of LUX, the globally acclaimed skin cleansing brand, by unveiling an enhanced formulation of its iconic soap bar. The event took place at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka.

Since its inception in 1923, LUX has earned a stellar reputation as one of the world’s top-selling soap brands. Now, LUX introduces a revamped formula, boasting a pro glow blend enriched with premium skincare elements such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E, promising consumers flawlessly radiant skin.

Nilushi Jayatileke, Marketing Director, Personal Care, UBL, expressed, “LUX has consistently led the beauty soap industry, delivering top-tier products for delightful bathing experiences. Moreover, it has provided platforms for women to shine, fostering numerous stars in Bangladesh and beyond. The event brought together luminaries of LUX Bangladesh’s past, including Gulshan Ara Akter Champa, Suborna Mustafa, Shamim Ara Nipa, Afsana Mimi, Aupee Karim, Rumana Rashid Ishita, Kushum Shikder, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Zakia Bari Mamo, and Bidya Sinha Mim. They were acknowledged for their contribution to LUX’s enduring legacy, with awards presented by Zaved Akhtar, Chairman and Managing Director, UBL, and Nilushi Jayatileke, Marketing Director, Personal Care, UBL, alongside UBL’s Management Committee members.
