Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre is a Luxury 5 Star Hotel under the flagship of IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group). It is owned by Habib Hotel International Ltd. a subsidiary of the Marium Group of Companies. They are looking for an expert Marketing and Communications Manager for their team.
Job Context
- As Marketing and Communications Manager, will develop and implement the marketing plan and activities for the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets and address hotel business needs.
- Also, to manage sales activities and events in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget and sales strategy for your hotel.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day marketing activities, plan, assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
- Educate and train marketing team that is responsible for developing new and implementing existing marketing strategies. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
- Work with other department managers to ensure proper staffing levels.
- Create, develop, and market key events for the hotel, especially during key business periods.
- Communicate effectively, to target markets, the amenities, and benefits of the hotel, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting and events.
- Work with local third-party partners, including local media, and maintain professional working relationships with local official bodies.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to the target audiences of the hotel.
- Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required.
- Manage and promote the hotel on IHG brand website.
- Respond to media enquiries when approached for comments and/or reports.
- Research and develop new opportunities within key target markets.
- Communicate with internal Event Managers on all aspects of specific event organization and promotion.
- Develop and support the Marketing Coordinator/ Marketing & PR Executive, where applicable.
- Implement PR campaigns to celebrate successes and awards and the promotion of product.
- Create, develop, and market key events for the hotel, especially during key business periods.
- Communicate effectively, to target markets, the amenities, and benefits of the hotel, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting and events.
- Work with local third-party partners, including local media, and maintain professional working relationships with local official bodies.
- Produce monthly reports as required.
- Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with appropriate department on solutions.
- Engage in the hotel CSR activities in a timely manner.
- Manage and control marketing budgets by using resources effectively.
- Develop and own promotional activities, marketing channels and the production of marketing materials for specific events.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and Communication
- BRAC University,North South University,University of Dhaka,Independent University, Bangladesh,Jahangirnagar University students will get preference
- Skills Required: Graphics Design
