Kohinoor Chemicals reports 16.5% increase in profits in July-March

Kohinoor Chemicals Company (Bangladesh) Ltd, one of the oldest soaps, cosmetics and toiletries manufacturers in the country, reported a 3.4 per cent year-on-year increase in profit to Tk 10.2 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year.

The profit stood at Tk 9.87 crore in the January-March quarter of 2021-22.

Thus, its earnings per share stood at Tk 3.33 in January-March, which was Tk 3.22 in the same quarter of 2021-22.

On the back of the latest quarter results, the cosmetics and toiletries maker recorded a 16.5 per cent rise in profit to Tk 27.48 crore during the July-March period of 2022-23. It was Tk 23.59 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Shares of the company edged up 0.59 per cent to close at Tk 481.40 today.
