Md Shakawath Hossain recognized as the Best Hospitality and Tourism Leader in Bangladesh
Md Shakawath Hossain was honored with the “Hospitality and Tourism Leadership” award at the 2022 Leadership Excellence Summit hosted by Leaders Forum BD (LFB). He was recognized for his exceptional business contributions and leadership in Bangladesh’s hospitality and tourism sector, as stated in a press release.
The award was presented to Shakawath by NKA Mobin, CEO of Emerging Credit Rating, Khandker Kabir, President of LFB, and other representatives of LFB’s trustee board, jury board, and advisors.
As a guest speaker, Shakawath also participated in a panel discussion on “Sustainable leadership towards smart Bangladesh: Issues and Challenges” during the summit.

Shakawath is currently serving as CEO of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC and Co-Chairman of the Bangladesh International Hotel Association’s (BIHA) Planning and Development standing committee. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and an MBA in Tourism & Hospitality Management from the University of Dhaka.
The summit aimed to acknowledge the leadership skills in different industries including banking, health, hospitality, RMG, real estate, and finance. 13 leaders were awarded for their contributions in various sectors and the event was attended by 200 leaders from 23 different industries. During the event, leaders shared their experiences, dreams, missions, and visions for LFB.
