Square Pharma Reports a Profit of Tk 1,491 Crore from July to March

Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. reported a profit of Tk 1,491.01 crore from July through March of the current fiscal year, an increase of 4.9% from the same period in the prior year when the pharmaceutical company had a profit of Tk 1,420.98 crore.

The consolidated earnings per share for Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd were Tk 16.82 for the July-March period of 2022-23, an increase from Tk 16.03 in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

However, the company’s profit decreased by 6.20% to Tk 428.16 crore in the third quarter of FY23, compared to Tk 456.52 crore in the same quarter of FY22. As per the unaudited financial statements, the consolidated EPS for the January-March period was Tk 4.83, down from Tk 5.15 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The consolidated net operating cash flow per share for Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd decreased from Tk 13.87 a year ago to Tk 10.95 in the July-March period. According to the company’s filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, this decline can be attributed to the continuing complications in procuring raw materials and the prolonged lead time.

To prevent any disruption in the supply chain, the Group has made advance payments to its regular suppliers, as mentioned by the company.
