Waste workers are working on the front line in the fight against plastic pollution. This World Environment Day, Unilever Bangladesh reaffirms its pledge to stand beside our plastic warriors to improve their livelihood as a token of appreciation for their commitment towards making a plastic pollution-free Bangladesh.

To highlight the plight of their daily struggles, Unilever Bangladesh launched an emotionally driven campaign video featuring a schoolchild whose father is a plastic waste worker, battling it out every day. The campaign also highlights the initiatives that Unilever Bangladesh has taken to help improve their lives in partnership with Chattogram City Corporation and YPSA, enhancing the lives of more than 3000 waste workers by providing them with training, safety equipment, and financial aid.

Because, Unilever Bangladesh believes that keeping the welfare of waste workers is a giant step towards a clean and plastic-pollution free Bangladesh.
