Walton Becomes Title Sponsor for Bangladesh-Afghanistan Series

In a press conference held on Tuesday (13 June) at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officially declared Walton, the renowned Bangladeshi technology company, as the title sponsor for the upcoming Bangladesh-Afghanistan series. The event also witnessed the unveiling of the series logo.

The sponsorship lineup features iScreen as the powered-by sponsor, UCAI University Bangladesh Branch Campus as the co-sponsor, and cosmetics brand Remark as the associate sponsor. According to a press release, Impress Mattra Consortium has been granted the rights for title and ground branding for the series.

Walton has been deeply involved in supporting cricket in Bangladesh for a considerable period, extending its sponsorship to major domestic cricket events. Now, they are expanding their support to international cricket as well. The company has earned a prominent position in the cricket community, establishing itself as a cricket-friendly institution.

The press conference saw the presence of BCB Director Tanvir Ahmed Titu and Walton’s Chief Marketing and Communication Officer Didarul Alam Khan. Tanvir Ahmed expressed his gratitude to Walton, recognizing their consistent support for Bangladesh cricket. He highlighted Walton’s significant role as both title and co-sponsors in various events and expressed hope for their enduring association with cricket.

Didarul Alam Khan, Walton’s chief marketing and communication officer, acknowledged the long-standing friendship between Walton and Bangladesh cricket, with their involvement spanning 12-13 years in cricket-related services. He extended his appreciation to the Bangladesh Cricket Board for their collaboration.

The event was graced by actor Riaz Uddin Ahmed Siddique, the executive director of associate sponsor Remark, Jamal Uddin, and Sayma Begum Ritu from Impress Mattra Consortium.

The Bangladesh-Afghanistan series commenced this morning with a one-off Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
