Robi, in support of the National Cricket Team as the World Cup tournament commences, has organized a special program titled “The Red Wave-Cheers for BD Cricket Team.” This event is part of their ongoing campaign, “Jani Bangladesh, Parbe Tumio,” aimed at fostering the winning spirit of the Tigers within society.
The celebration program began at Robi’s Corporate Office in Gulshan-1 and extended to Gulshan-2. The streets on both sides were adorned to celebrate the Tigers’ winning spirit. Robi employees and people on the streets joined in the celebration at eight locations along Gulshan Avenue. A similar event took place in the Chattogram CRB area, with the participation of common people and Robi employees.
Throughout the day, lively flash mob performances occurred at these locations, allowing people on the streets to write their best wishes for the Tigers on a specially created graffiti wall. This graffiti wall will be displayed for a week, aiming to capture the emotions of cricket-loving people in the country.

All Robi employees, including the CEO and the entire senior management team, expressed their support and encouragement for the Tigers through this initiative.
Robi’s CEO, Rajeev Sethi, stated, “This celebration showcases our strong commitment to stand by our Tigers in the World Cup tournament. We are proud to support our cricketing heroes through this celebration today.”

Robi Axiata Limited also unveiled its World Cup theme song, “Jani Bangladesh Parbe Tumio,” sung by the popular band Arthohin, for Bangladeshi cricket fans. Customers can set this song as their GunGun tune by dialing *28466*807#. .
Through the My Robi app, cricket fans can livestream the ICC World Cup matches in partnership with the country’s leading sports OTT platform, Rabbithole, on a subscription basis.
Robi’s association with cricket dates back several years. The company sponsored the National Cricket team from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they organized the Fast Bowler Hunt contest, which led to the discovery of the celebrated fast bowler Ebadot, who now plays for the national team.
