Standard Chartered Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited (Berger Paints). The agreement was signed to expedite cashless payments to Berger Paints.

The agreement entails the implementation of a host-to-host (H-to-H) solution, enabling Berger Paints to process domestic payments directly from its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system without external intervention. Standard Chartered is pioneering this host-to-host integration in the country, marking a significant step towards digitizing customer cash management, with Berger Paints being the first beneficiary.

The contract signing ceremony to mark the inauguration of host-to-host connectivity took place at Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited’s head office in Uttara. Senior officials from both Standard Chartered Bangladesh and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited graced the occasion.

Standard Chartered’s host-to-host solutions integrate bank and corporate systems, automating processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. This integration plays a crucial role in capital management while ensuring secure automated transactions for high-volume data transfers between banks and customers. Payment reports are tailored to the customer’s preferred file format, network protocol, and security standards over this advanced host-to-host connection.

Lutful Arefin Khan, Head of Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered Bangladesh, emphasized the importance of staying abreast of the latest innovations in the global economy. He highlighted Standard Chartered’s commitment to enhancing customer service through cutting-edge cash management solutions, such as host-to-host connectivity, which minimizes errors and risks across diverse business operations.

Sajjad Rahim Chowdhury, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, expressed gratitude to Standard Chartered Bangladesh for their longstanding partnership.
